a note from the studio director…
Hello Centre Wellington,
I am honoured to introduce myself as the Principal Studio Director of Grand River Pilates Studio. I have been practicing Pilates for over 8 years and fell in love with the principles that Josef Pilates set out when he created the perfect template for movement. Josef understood that with committed, attuned practice, Pilates was proven to create alignment, movement and proper posture for all athletes. I Believe, If you have to move your body daily, you are an athlete!
I came to Pilates after several major mammary (breast) and intramuscular surgeries, in addition to this, I struggled with my ADHD diagnosis. I needed to heal and repair my body and learn to embrace my neurodivergence, and so I made a commitment to the main Pilates principles. In time, I started to reap the many physical and mental benefits of my daily practice and training. As a single mother of two children, I would be lying if I said I haven’t faced the curveballs life can throw, however, Pilates has helped me find calm in the chaos. In 2021, I set out to hone my love for Pilates and started on my journey to receive my full certification in Reformer Pilates From Balanced Body.
When I’m not teaching at the studio, you can find me trying to keep up with my two young children, skiing in the winter or cheffing up something yummy in my kitchen from the New York Times Food section!
If you build it, will the come? This is a question I toiled with each day and night as I prepared to open this studio. I listened to the steady feedback that centre Wellington indeed wanted a Pilates Studio. I decided to access my allies and bet on myself, which has lead to the inevitable opening of Grand River Pilates Studio! I built it and you all have overwhelming shown up to support my dreams!
Each and every time I teach a class, I feel as though I am sharing the gift of movement.

It all begins the day you show up! We suggest registering for a Low Flow class, here you will be guided in the foundations and principles of Pilates movement. Trust us, we will help align the athlete within- you got this!
